A Note from Corinne

All my life I have been passionate about animals. As a kid growing up in Cleveland, I trained all our family dogs and took them in parades and fairs. I raised guinea pigs and did very well in the American Cavy shows and county fairs. I wished that we lived "in the country" so I could have so many more animals.

It wasn't until I finished college that I was able to get into dogs seriously. I raised Shelties for a while, then Goldens. I began to get very frustrated with the high degree of cancers, allergies and other health problems that frequently plagued the Goldens. I began to look around and came upon this small red and white retriever in a magazine somewhere. I did some research, visited some folks that owned Tollers, went to some rare-breed shows and decided that this was the breed for me. The Tollers were smaller, healthier and "more intense" than other breeds I had worked with. They were friendly, but also reserved, and dignified. They were a very smart dog, but not "push overs". They provide me with a good opportunity to challenge my dog training skills.

My goal is to continue to improve the breed and produce healthy, beautiful, gentle dogs, that can work!

My biggest obligation,of course, is to my husband and raising our eight children. The children are very involved in raising /socializing the pups, making that part of my job so much easier! We also raise Pygmy goats on a small farm in Wooster, Ohio.
